Seller Terms & Conditions
Through Your Wardrobe (We) act as an agent to the Customer (You) and at no point take ownership of the goods brought to us to sell. The standard sales period is 8 weeks but can be extended at our discretion. We reserve the right to return goods at any point in the contract term. We reserve the right to charge a returns fee, at our discretion, for items requested for return within the initial 4 weeks of contract start, this is a maximum of £30 per item. We do not charge a consignment fee, unless we have travelled to collect items upon your request. Prices for collection are supplied on an individual basis. We offer a standard commission structure of 50% on most items offered below £1000. Our commission reduces to a minimum of 10% for items of a value higher than £1000, on a sliding scale, at our discretion.
Goods must arrive at Through Your Wardrobe in good physical condition and be recently laundered. Any alteration or defect must be highlighted at the appointment or collection, any defect found following the appt could mean the item being returned without being offered for sale within the shops or other platform. The shops are currently but not limited to 105A High Street, Rye, East Sussex TN31 7JE & 13 Chapel Place, Tunbridge Wells, Kent TN1 1YQ and online at www.throughyourwardrobe.co.uk or any other portal we choose to partner with.
Any cleaning will be carried out at our discretion and will be charged to the customer. If you wish to have an immediate record of items consigned with us at an appt please supply your own record until which time that we send pricing specifics. We endeavour to send pricing lists within 48 hours of consignment but will usually advise of any delays at your appt. Following your appt we will offer prices to you, either in person, by email or via Whatsapp. You have 48 hours to agree the pricing, following which time we have the right to sell at the suggested pricing. If you have not specified a price you wish to achieve we will sell at our discretion. We have the right to discount to sell, at our discretion, following the initial 6 months if the item has not been requested as a return.
Through Your Wardrobe only accept AUTHENTIC items. You, as the owner, guarantee the authenticity of all goods brought to us to sell. We partner with Entrupy as our professional authenticator, we will advise you at your appointment as to any costs associated with authenticating your item. Any item found to be counterfeit will be removed from sale, returned. or in some cases destroyed. Any goods found to be stolen, or under investigation, will be submitted to the police without further correspondence with you, the customer.
You consign your items to us at your own risk. You consign your items at your own risk for loss, damage, theft at our stores, in transport or at any alternative sales location we have chosen. There may be a delay in the sale of an item if that item is out-of-season at the time of consigning. Payment will be made to your bank account (supplied at your appt) following the sale of the item. We often ‘bundle’ payments together to avoid multiple payments. Our system finds the average sale date to schedule a payment to you. We do not make payments in cash. We cannot accept any responsibility for incorrect details being supplied to us. Please check your details carefully upon submission. At the end of the sales period you will be contacted to collect any unsold items. Any items not collected within 8 weeks following our ‘returns’ contact will be donated to a charity of our choice.
